Final Art Blog

So the time has come for the last of the blogs. It has been a long road, and an interesting one at that. From the first blogs about Rome and Jerusalem, to the latest about gypsies, and illegal immigrants; this blog has hit a lot of different ideas. Now this final art journal is a closer to the blog that shared my ideas of Rome and its history. The final question is “How is art created/made?” This is a great question to end on because it basically rounds up everything we talked about. In the past we talked about line, color, shade, light, and contrast. So now we can go into the artist mind, and see what he or she was thinking. However, the question “How is art created” is really a hard question, and probably cannot be answered.

Art’s definition is the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance. So basically if something is important to you and you cherish it, then it is art. So a piece of music can be art, as well as a painting, sculpture, table, clothing, or even life. So saying how is art created is an extremely hard question. One could say art is created when life begins. You start to witness art at a young age and continue to see and hear it throughout life. Or some might say art is made, when someone has an idea. Then this idea blossoms into art. There really is no way of knowing how art is created, it just happens, and when it does it turns into something amazing.

When someone says art and the first thing you think of is a painting, all artists would say that this is the wrong mind set. One must see art in everything he or she does, and you must embrace it. And by embracing it they mean, don’t let it pass you by, but actually sit and enjoy life and all it has to offer, because who knows when you will be witnessing a special moment again. Which is really true, we take things for granted and don’t realize the beauty in the world around us. Sometimes, we just have to stop and smell the roses, and notice the crazy thing we like to call life.

Art has a lot of different meanings, and ways of creating it. So finding the right answer on “How is art created” really can’t be done. People can give theories and ideas on how they create art, but there really isn’t just one way of doing it. Basically, art can be anything you want it to be, as long as you cherish it.
